What is an underground economy?
The underground economy is an economy hidden from the government due to illegal trades and purchases. The market sells anything from guns to organs.
Explain why proponents believe a flat tax would rein in black markets.
A flat tax would rein in an underground economy because the dealers will be able to keep most of their money.
Explain why opponents fear a flat tax would encourage underground economies.
A flat tax would encourage the spread of underground economies because of the never rising tax bracket, dealers will be able to sell high priced products and keep most of the revenue.
Should athletes be allowed to take performance-enhancing drugs? Why or why not?
Do you think the use of performance-enhancing drugs diminishes the integrity of a sport? Explain.
yes it does because it can create false accomplishments such as the home-run title in the MLB which is held by Barry Bonds who was part of the doping.
Should the sports records that have been broken by athletes accused of doping be allowed to stand? Why or why not?
No these records should be voided because they were obtained illegally.
How can the organizations that govern sports prevent the use of performance-enhancing drugs by their athletes?
The organization can make it a lifetime ban in the sport it resides to.

Marijuana is from the cannabis plant.

The Federal Govt because it could create the laws and amounts.

why not?
I believe that the names of team should not be put under extreme scrutiny because some teams facing present day issues are franchises that have existed for centuries.
Why do you think some Native Americans are offended by the use of Indian names, symbols and mascots by sports teams?
Native Americans may be appalled by these figures and names because the have given up much of their land and lost their status as being equal rather then different
Would you be upset if your favorite team had to change its name or mascot? Explain
It would bother me more for the reason of change if the have had the same mascot and name for all their time for it to now appear as an issue would bother me
What should be done to combat human smuggling?
Stricter border patrols as well as searches in suspect areas along with heavy penalties and fines.
How does human smuggling differ from human trafficking?
Human smuggling is using an illegal immigrant for heavy enforced labor for little to no pay in bad conditions, while Human trafficking is one selling their body to another person for explicit things.
Is the U.S.-Mexico border fence the answer to the human smuggling problem?
No because people still will find ways around the fence, even though it has been built the country still see's extreme numbers of illegals.
